Day 1: Le Marin
Welcome in the Marina (South of Martinique) and boarding for the
night.
Day 2: Le Marin / Anse d’Arlet: 15 miles
Getting used to the boat, provisioning, customs formalities, short
navigation towards Anse d’Arlet, first night at the anchorage.
Day 3: Anse d’Arlet / Marigot (St. Lucia): 32 miles
Early departure to Rodney Bay in St. Lucia. Crossing the channel
may require visual navigation. Swimming and lunch on the island.
Night in Marigot Bay, former hurricane shield now a bit crowded,
so anchorage off the shore recommended.
Day 4: Marigot / Deux Pitons: 10 miles
Soft and easy navigation along the West coast of St. Lucia up to
Soufriere, a picturesque village. Walking excursion through the
city and the botanical garden, driving to the waterfalls, the hot
water springs and the volcano. Overnight at Deux Pitons.
Day 5: Deux Pitons / St. Vincent: 47 miles
Set sail early to reach Petit Bayhaut, in St Vincent, for lunch
and snorkelling. Pick up a mooring ball at Young Island for the
night.
Day 6: St. Vincent / Bequia: 10 miles
Short sail to Bequia (say “Bekoue”). Bequia, entrance to the Grenadines,
is the former whale hunter's island. Anchorage in Admiralty Bay,
facing the capital city Port Elisabeth. "Happy hours"
at Frangipanier and dinner in one of the restaurants.
Day 7: Bequia / Mustique: 15 miles
Once customs formalities are done, short navigation towards Petit
Nevis where the fishermen used to flense the whales. Then sailing
to Mustique, the “Jet Set” island. Night outside the famous built
on piles “Basil Bar”.
Day 8: Mustique / Mayreau: 20 miles
Early morning touring of Mustique island, its beaches and villas.
After lunch heading to Mayreau, anchoring at Salt Whistle Bay, a
wonderful coconut trees beach (fabulous beach walking!).
Day 9: Mayreau / Tobago Cays: 2 miles
Short navigation to the Tobago Cays. Anchoring in the most beautiful
Caribbean lagoon. Turquoise waters and white sand beaches, ideal
for snorkelling, swimming and relaxing.
Day 10: Tobago Cays / Union: 5 miles
Early morning navigation (about 1 hour) to Union, the capital of
the Grenadines: airport, hotels, restaurants, fruit and vegetables
market, ship chandler, Internet Cafe and Customs for checking out
of the country.
Day 11: Union / Petit St. Vincent: 4 miles
Passing by Morpion, a little sandy island in the middle of the corals,
anchoring at Petit St. Vincent (PSV). This hotel island is the perfect
spot for a sunset drink at the bar under the bougainvilleas.
Day 12: Petit Saint Vincent / Carriacou: 12 miles
Sail between Morpion and Punaise then to Hillsborough, the capital
of Carriacou, to complete your check in. Short navigation to Sandy
Island. Anchorage in front of the sandy beach for the night.
Day 13: Carriacou / Grenade: 33 miles
After breakfast heading to St Georges hugging the Grenada's west
coast. Anchoring in the harbour, in the middle of one of the nicest
Caribbean cities. Walking excursion through St Georges, dinner and
night.
Day 14: St Georges / Port Egmont: 12 miles
Large and quiet bays in the middle of the rainy forest jag the south
coast. To be very quiet, sail to Port Egmont is one of the safest
shelters in the south of Grenada.
Day 15: Port Egmont / Prickly: 6 miles
Prickly Bay became yachting centre of Grenada's with its marina
and the most beautiful sailing boat in the Caribbean. Nice choice
of restaurants for having a dinner ashore.
Day 16: Prickly / Carriacou: 38 miles
Ready to sail back to Martinique. On the way to Carriacou, stop
for lunch at Isle Ronde with perfect clear water and good snorkelling.
Then sail on to Tyrell Bay; be careful at the entrance of the bay.
Day 17: Carriacou / Union: 6 miles
Before leaving Carriacou stop at the custom in Hillsborough to check
out then sail on to Union to complete your check in. Anchoring at
Palm Island in front of a wonderful coconut trees beach.
Day 18: Union / Canouan: 14 miles
After breakfast heading to Canouan via Chatam Bay, a large natural
bay west of Union, pleasant for having lunch. Night in Charleston
Bay (Canouan).
Day 19: Canouan / St. Vincent: 32 miles
Sailing day to St. Vincent, night either in Cumberland or in Wallilabu
Bay, where the movie “The Pirates of the Caribbean” was shot.
Day 20: St. Vincent / St. Lucia: 55 miles
Last long navigation day up to North of St. Lucia. Night at Rodney
Bay behind Pigeon Island. Possibility to visit the botanic park.
Day 21: Lucia / St. Anne: 23 miles
Last sailing to reach Martinique. Anchoring outside St. Anne village
(pretty beaches) or outside Club Med.
Day 22: St. Anne / Marin: 2 miles
After a last swim in a heavenly bay (turquoise water, white sandy
beaches) back to the Marina of Marin (30 min.) where the Dream Yacht
team will take care of you. |
