Built in 1991 and regularly upgraded, this unique 192 ft yacht has some impressive features.
ISLANDER is powered by waterjets, which makes her very quiet under power.
The yacht has a very large sun deck for outdoor living and entertainment, which includes a full central bar area, informal dining areas, a barbeque and large jacuzzi/swimming pool which can be used with either fresh or sea water.
On the upper deck, there is exterior dining for 12 guests and additionally there are two informal seating areas forward of the bridge which offer a great vantage point when underway.
ISLANDER has a substantial main deck saloon which can be totally separated from the dining area. This lends itself very well to corporate entertaining and meetings etc. An added attraction is the Steinway baby grand piano for musical entertainment.
A sky lounge with full bar, card table and upright piano is situated on the upper deck. This is an ideal location for evening relaxation.
An added major benefit is that the yacht is wheelchair friendly, with through-hull access on starboard together with a lift which provides access to all levels including the sundeck. The yacht also has many specially widened doorways to allow easy access for wheelchairs.
ISLANDER has benefitted from several major refits which included an extensive overhaul or complete renewal of the machinery and systems, additional teak decking as well as a full exterior repaint of the hull and superstructure, new marble, new carpeting, replating of gold fixtures, new bedding, new exterior furnishings, etc..
ISLANDER has onboard a substantial and unique collection of major artworks which sets off the relaxed interior ambiance.
ISLANDER is run by an excellent charter-friendly crew of 12, under the command of her experienced South African captain, Duncan Stephenson.
