Маршрут Garibaldi
Продолжительность: 1 неделя
Дистанция: 450 морских миль
The sailing trip Garibaldi is the most classical and relaxing,
suitable both to small and big yachts. Most of the sailing is made
under the shelter of the islands inside the Arcipelago della Maddalena,
that’s why we suggest the little experienced crews to follow it.
The mean is 16 n.m. per day.

1° DAY : Portisco - Cala di Volpe - Porto Cervo (10 N.M.)
The first day a very relaxing sailing is foreseen, leaving Portisco
in the morning heading north for 3 n.m., and casting the anchor
after just half an hour sailing in Cala di Volpe; this bay is characterized
by a long beech and the famous namesake hotel. The shelter is very
good with all winds, so this bay is sometimes overcrowded mainly
by big yachts. From here you will head Porto Cervo, a 7 n.m. sailing,
about 1 hour. Take contact per phone at 0789-905605 or by VHF channel
9, informing them of your arrival and asking for the availability
of a proper boat place. The village and the marina of Porto Cervo
are in two different sides of the bay: the downtown is nearby the
old harbour, the marina is in the bottom of the natural fiord. Porto
Cervo is certainly one of the finest and exclusive tourist destinations
in the world, starting point for Prince Aga Khan to create the Costa
Smeralda. From then Porto Cervo is the favourite destination for
V.I.P. in the field of the business, politics, fashion and show;
furthermore, most of international regattas in the mediterranean
are held here, mainly in September, such as the Maxi yachts regatta
or the Veteran boat rally. The famous fashion boutiques, the restaurants
and the night clubs surround a village which is much similar to
a movie set.
2° DAY : Porto Cervo –> Cala Spalmatore –> La Maddalena (
20 N.M.)
Once out of the harbour watch out about the Cervo reef (Secca del
Cervo), which is half a n.m. away from the harbour entrance and
have to be kept on your left. Then you will sail up to the northest
cape of Caprera to reach Cala Spalmatore, very nice bay in the north-east
side of La Maddalena, the leg is about 10 n.m. long, one and a half
hours sailing. Here you could make a nice turn with your tender
to watch the uneven coast. After weighing the anchor you will sail

Gavetta, which is the harbour of La Maddalena, after 10 n.m. Take
contact per phone at 0789-730121 informing them of your arrival
and asking for the availability of a proper boat place. The village
is typical and hospitable, perfect starting point to visit on land
Caprera and the house of Garibaldi. In Caprera the two-worlds-hero
was banished and died on June the 2nd 1882, nearby the house there
